Dear community,

We are currently in the process of finalizing the first stage of the project – obtaining reference baseline data of healthy volunteer's urinary bladder by using quantitative  applications of high frequency ultrasound with the aim to assess the prognostic value of urinary bladder changes.

The method is non-invasive and will be used to:

  • diagnose interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome
  • monitor progression of fibrosis
  • assess the response and effectiveness of treatment
  • assess the need for surgery

Unfortunately, each stage of this research is lengthy and an extended amount of time may be required to achieve our goals. Thank you for your understanding and we will continue to update you on our progress.

With Kind Regards,
Dr. Antonina Volikova
Urology Research Fellow
